Reuse & Recycle With Goodwill

Here’s How...

  • Donate clothing, stuffed animals, towels, linens, shoes, belts, purses, hats, and books that may be stained, ripped, have missing or broken pieces or have other minor damage.
  • Place these items in bags or boxes and label them “RECYCLE”
  • Donate them to Goodwill and we’ll keep them out of the landfill by finding alternative uses for them!

When you donate items that Goodwill is unable to re-sell to support our mission, we work to keep them out of the landfill by finding alternative uses for them. For a full list of items that Goodwill can accept, please click here.

For Example...

  • Stuffed animals are broken down and reused as carpet padding!

  • Bed sheets, towels and t-shirts are sold by the pound to businesses and individuals that use them as rags for cleaning purposes!

  • Books can be sold in our stores or sent to our e-books department to be sold on internet auction sites like Amazon.com and Half.com for re-use. Books that are not sold, are recycled!
